Narciso Argoitz scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Vedillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 40 minutes of play, Cacerola's Maximiliano Ramirez made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Vedillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cacerola's Marcos Guzman got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Honorio Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chimborazo A.F.C and the Cacerola players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo A.F.C's Honorio Cortez got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dante Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Ramirez in the 62nd minute of the match. Camilo Berdaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Argoitz got free with Dante Vedillo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goalkeeper Dante Vedillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Argoitz. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Maximiliano Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacerola's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Ramirez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Vedillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
