Lucas Alario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Lopes got free with Silvano Arnau in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to El Patriarca ® getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gregorio Seber hit a great ball. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Severo Lano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Raimundo Cordeiro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Edgardo Millrick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Silvano Arnau made a huge save. Honorato Guillelme hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Saul Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute A.D Atlético Villa Gesell were awarded a corner. Carlo Imperiale went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Carlo Imperiale almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Patriarca ®'s Saul Fernandez did a great save. Saul Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Sazon in the 34th minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the game, Lucas Alario landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 35 minutes into the game, Adolfo Qwinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Patriarca ®'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.D Atlético Villa Gesell the free kick. After 36 played minutes El Patriarca ® got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Qwinton. In the 37th minute of the match Carlo Imperiale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saul Fernandez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Godofredo Guifre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Patriarca ® the free kick. The supporters of El Patriarca ® booed when A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Baltasar Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, El Patriarca ®'s Ermegildo Isusko got a free kick in the 55th minute. Marcelino Abajas made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Epifanio Lopes immediately put the ball in play. After 61 played minutes El Patriarca ® got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Seber. Silvano Arnau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Millrick in the 74th minute of the match. Silvano Arnau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Isusko in the 77th minute of play. Bruno Balendin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Raimundo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Millrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Arnau having to interfere. Silvano Arnau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Silvano Arnau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Millrick in the 98th minute of play. Chants of A.D Atlético Villa Gesell echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as El Patriarca ® had held the ball for most of the match.
