The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agustín Brei didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. A collision led to ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Emilio Vidal hit a great ball. Agustín Brei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gaute in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Agustín Sande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alijilán returns the free kick. Agustín Sande got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Agustín Sande kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Agustín Brei got control of the ball when Amado Mikelar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustín Brei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Garate, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Amado Mikelar got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Agustín Brei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gau in the 27th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Amado Mikelar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Agustín Brei, 3-0. Anacleto Sedeni kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Alijilán returns's Ladislao Herena tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 44 minutes, Emilio Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ and the Alijilán returns players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agustín Brei acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ladislao Herena. The crowd rose to their feet as Alijilán returns's Amado Mikelar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agustín Brei. That made the score 4-0 after 46 minutes of play.

Agustín Brei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Garate, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's zone, Leandro Garate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustín Brei came out of the goal and Leandro Garate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Juan Gaute got a free kick in the 65th minute. Agustín Brei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Gau in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Garate came free, but Agustín Brei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Mikelar took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustín Brei. Agustín Brei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 83 minutes into the game, Juan Gaute was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alijilán returns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ the free kick. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Gaute didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustín Brei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Gaute in the 88th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Alijilán returns's Juan Gau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agustín Brei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. There was no doubt that Alijilán returns were the better team. Alijilán returns's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
