Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) New Pi's Marcelo Goito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Domingo Salvidor threw the ball into play from the sideline. New Pi's Jorge Osorio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Marcelo Goito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luigi Gatti came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelo Goito slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. In the 13th minute Guaberto Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Luigi Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Goito. After a rather tough play, New Pi's Leandro Tibalt got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Christian Piarres was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Luigi Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Goito in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, New Pi's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Lluc came free, but Maximo Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes New Pi got a freekick which was hit by Set Fernando. After a defensive mix-up in New Pi's zone, Guaberto Lluc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Godoy came out of the goal and Guaberto Lluc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to New Pi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Primitivo Ayala hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Marcelo Goito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Lluc to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, New Pi's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Lluc came free, but Maximo Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luigi Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Goito in the 56th minute of the match. Romulo Lluc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Godoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Marcelo Goito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luigi Gatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Marcelo Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luigi Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, New Pi's Marcelo Goito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luigi Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Mauricio Amato replaced Guaberto Lluc. Luigi Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Goito in the 76th minute of the match. If Marcelo Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Godoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Amato in the 95th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. New Pi were victorious despite being under pressure from Los Hijos de Doña Beija for much of the match.
