Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) New England Minas's Cory Kirkland started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xever Anievas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cory Kirkland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claude Ebro fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERRO PORTEÑO's protests and gave Claude Ebro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Ebro to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Cory Kirkland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xever Anievas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Xever Anievas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cory Kirkland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xever Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Cabezon in the 10th minute of the match. Dadá Ponta kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Cando to maneuver through the defense. CERRO PORTEÑO's Xever Anievas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Hatfield in the 17th minute of play. Xever Anievas came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Chris Cabezon. But to his dismay, Chris Cabezon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dirk Hatfield hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Xever Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cory Kirkland in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Baumar Ontanilla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Segundo Gol, 1-2. A collision led to CERRO PORTEÑO getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Everardo Martino hit a great ball. Pinto Valer kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Dirk Hatfield came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Hatfield couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Orlo Rujula got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 60th minute, Dadá Ponta made a precise shot to the right of Xever Anievas. CERRO PORTEÑO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Cory Kirkland took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xever Anievas. Xever Anievas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Cabezon got free with Xever Anievas in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xever Anievas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cory Kirkland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Cory Kirkland dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xever Anievas, 1-5. When Luisito Gadañon came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the CERRO PORTEÑO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Gadañon couldn't finish the play.
