The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 5 minutes on the clock, Vladimiro Gerica commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 4th minute, one of Valle Saron:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Valle Saron. Rosio Aranzana's late challenge caught a Club Olimpia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosio Aranzana helped the player get up and apologised. Rosio Aranzana hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Rubio Guardia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Theobald Manjon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Admon Orden came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Valle Saron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Admon Orden couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brun Mugica. If Admon Orden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Admon Orden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Caldueño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Bueldi to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Admon Orden to make the kick off. Raymundo Castellana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dalmacio Caldueño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Gómez to maneuver through the defense. Rubio Guardia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Theobald Manjon made a huge save. In the 59th minute Raymundo Castellana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Caldueño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Valle Saron's Raymundo Castellana made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dalmacio Caldueño was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Bueldi. When Alan Cano came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Club Olimpia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Cano couldn't finish the play. Arano Esparza kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Donzel Barbanera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valle Saron and the Club Olimpia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Valle Saron got a freekick which was hit by Donzel Barbanera. When Anibal Escrig fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Olimpia's protests and gave Anibal Escrig a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Valle Saron booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Escrig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theobald Manjon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubio Guardia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Club Olimpia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Olimpia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
