Atletico Maturrango's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Cabarcos in the 8th minute. Atletico Maturrango's Diego Cabarcos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nelson Tapia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Spartans FC's Nelson Tapia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bieito Villaurreta in the 12th minute of play. Nelson Tapia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caton Oquendo in the 18th minute of play. Bieito Villaurreta scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Tapia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Bieito Villaurreta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson Tapia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bieito Villaurreta in the 27th minute of the match. The Atletico Maturrango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.
