Reed Molina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Charlton McDonough tried to sneak it across the goal line. ForestFire's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zachariah Barth in the 10th minute. After taking down the ball on ForestFire's corner Zachariah Barth fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Barovero quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Sierra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reed Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Cornoiu in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Cornoiu came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind ForestFire's goalkeeper Reed Molina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. GuateFortín's Marcelo Barovero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. In the 27thth minute of the game Vali Cornoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ForestFire's Reed Molina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Vali Cornoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reed Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Abel Ribeiro. ForestFire's Reed Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cornoiu in the 32nd minute of play. Vali Cornoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reed Molina having to make a save. Reed Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Cornoiu in the 34th minute of play. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Nichols, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GuateFortín's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Knapp in the 37th minute of play. Reed Molina came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Vali Cornoiu. But to his dismay, Vali Cornoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Sarbelio Ayala hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Reed Molina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vali Cornoiu in the 63rd minute. In the 67th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Almada to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Almada kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Charlton McDonough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GuateFortín's Marcelo Barovero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Barovero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duncan Nichols's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Duncan Nichols put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Barovero. In the 75th minute of the match, William Villanueva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reed Molina saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 82nd minute, Ben Gilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edgardo Murgas fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GuateFortín's protests and gave Edgardo Murgas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Edgardo Murgas hit a great ball. Russell Stinson hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Ángel Benito got free with Reed Molina in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ForestFire's Reed Molina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save ForestFire from getting a goal against them. GuateFortín's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
