When Ali Güralp Bedük came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Güralp Bedük couldn't finish the play. Aytunç Kelim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Güneş Fırıncı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pehlivanköy defense, Aytunç Kelim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Güneş Fırıncı. The Pehlivanköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güneş Fırıncı should have stopped the shot. Ferman Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bilge Sazak was the one to do the kick off.
