Norrlands Athen's Gustaf Holm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Fernström in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Wiberg in the 10th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Gustaf Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Bollström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gustaf Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Fernström in the 14th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Gustaf Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes Norrlands Athen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roland Kilström who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Papilio's Roland Kilström to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustaf Holm despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gustaf Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Wennerberg in the 17th minute of play. Papilio's Ivan Västlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Papilio from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Ljusberg got free with Ivan Västlund in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Ingvar Apelquist got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Ingvar Wennerberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustaf Holm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stellan Danielsson hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gustaf Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Hannes Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Holm having to interfere. Elliot Kinnman hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ivan Västlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Ljusberg went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute Andreas Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hannes Lundin was the one to do the kick off. Papilio's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Ljusberg in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Ingvar Apelquist got a free kick in the 70th minute. Gustaf Holm acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roland Kilström. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Urban Ingvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrlands Athen's supporters rose to their feet, but Urban Ingvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Västlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Söderström during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ingvar Söderström hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Roland Kilström might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Holm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roland Kilström ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Gustaf Holm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Bollström. Elliot Kinnman kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match Ingvar Apelquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Västlund skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Norrlands Athen defense, Nils-Åke Wiberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustaf Holm. The Norrlands Athen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustaf Holm should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute Gustaf Fernström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Norrlands Athen's Gustaf Holm got control of the ball when Andreas Bollström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norrlands Athen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Papilio for a fine match.
