The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens-Ola Nordin struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Roland Järverup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garphyttan. Roland Järverup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Nordmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 minutes, George Isaksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Svartvallstjärnens IF and the Garphyttan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Svartvallstjärnens IF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. George Isaksson hit a great ball. Roland Järverup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Nordmark in the 11th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's goal looked a bit too open when Hampus Beneth came free, but Ivar Classon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Garphyttan got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Kinnman. In the 28th minute, Joakim Trillkott sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Garphyttan's Ivar Classon didn't even have to move. Bernt Nordmark struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Roland Järverup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garphyttan. Jens-Ola Nordin scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roland Järverup, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 minutes of play, Garphyttan's Jens-Ola Nordin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roland Järverup was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernt Nordmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Roland Järverup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Svartvallstjärnens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Åke Sandell came free, but Roland Järverup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Roland Järverup stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Svanström's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Garphyttan's Ivar Classon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Helberg in the 56th minute of play. The tension between the Garphyttan and the Svartvallstjärnens IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Niklas Helberg got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Nordmark had several of the Svartvallstjärnens IF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Roland Järverup as he didn't even see the shot coming. Roland Järverup made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bernt Nordmark sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Garphyttan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
