An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Roşu in the 3rd minute of play forced Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Ferdinand Horhoianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Cezar Novăceanu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu. Octavian Bogdănescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Purcaresti CSS were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after FC Steaua Pildesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dorin Georgescu took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Cezar Novăceanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 16thth minute of the game Ionuț Gane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionuț Gane in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Bogdănescu saved FC Steaua Pildesti from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Purcaresti CSS's Cezar Novăceanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavian Bogdănescu. Octavian Bogdănescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Purcaresti CSS's Eugen Tiberiu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ferdinand Horhoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Nechifor in the 35th minute of the match. Aurelian Stanciu charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelian Stanciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Stanciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Răzvan Petrescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferdinand Horhoianu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Iorgu came free, but Ferdinand Horhoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cezar Novăceanu made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Cezar Novăceanu put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. Edgar Jdeica kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Ionuț Gane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Robert Stafie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Costin Iorgu notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu. Ferdinand Horhoianu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Stancu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Horhoianu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Răzvan Petrescu. Ferdinand Horhoianu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Traian Roşu sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Ferdinand Horhoianu managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when FC Steaua Pildesti's Traian Roşu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Costin Iorgu might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Horhoianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costin Iorgu ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Ferdinand Horhoianu managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when FC Steaua Pildesti's Traian Roşu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Stafie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Traian Roşu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 91 minutes into the game, one of Purcaresti CSS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ferdinand Horhoianu. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Steaua Pildesti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Purcaresti CSS.
