Kristian Lerøy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Hausen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endre Rønne having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Kristian Lerøy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Phil Hausen came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the VFR Stommeln fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Hausen couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Anders Lauten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Lauten during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of VFR Stommeln booed when Nerdvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phil Hausen in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Endre Rønne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Nerdvik's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Hausen came free, but Endre Rønne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Ayman Dohmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VFR Stommeln's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ayman Dohmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristian Lerøy was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Phil Hausen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Endre Rønne was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. With a little luck, Nerdvik's Endre Rønne got control of the ball when Phil Hausen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nerdvik's Endre Rønne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayman Dohmen in the 67th minute of play. Leik Mutlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Endre Rønne made a huge save. A collision led to Nerdvik getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kristian Lerøy hit a great ball. The supporters of Nerdvik booed when VFR Stommeln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position.
