Seljeli IF's Bastian Lindquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Pottgießer in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Seljeli IF booed when Balus Treter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Gerhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Thomas Buvik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Utz Bauer skillfully saved the ball. Bjarte Gjersøe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Utz Bauer made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Balus Treter got a freekick which was hit by Dave Pottgießer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Konietzko in the 37th minute of play forced Seljeli IF's goalkeeper Bastian Lindquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Seljeli IF defense, Jürgen Konietzko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bastian Lindquist. The Seljeli IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bastian Lindquist should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jürgen Konietzko to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jürgen Konietzko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Balus Treter's Edmund Wildemann got a free kick in the 54th minute. Balus Treter's Dave Pottgießer got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Seljeli IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oddbjørn Odden to maneuver through the defense. If Edmund Wildemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Utz Bauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Klev in the 65th minute of the match. If Jürgen Konietzko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Seljeli IF's Otto Nordseth got a free kick in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Seljeli IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Konietzko came free, but Bastian Lindquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Bastian Lindquist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Pottgießer during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Dave Pottgießer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balus Treter's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
