The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Gaul in the 7th minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Visvaldis Petruks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pēteris Kapteinis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Diego Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Visvaldis Petruks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Visvaldis Petruks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Holmbro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th match minute, Black horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pēteris Kapteinis to maneuver through the defense. Diego Gentil, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alexander Holmbro charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Holmbro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Black horses booed when The Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Holmbro didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justs Budnieks was the one to do the kick off. When Black horses's Justs Budnieks in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Erdiano Peñuñuri kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Potters's Wictor Hakim got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Potters's zone, Lauris Kārlis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernhard Mondal came out of the goal and Lauris Kārlis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernhard Mondal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justs Budnieks, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Victor Nedell fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Potters's protests and gave Victor Nedell a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Gentil hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The Potters's Bernhard Mondal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauris Kārlis in the 88th minute of play. If Micky Clausøe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Justs Budnieks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernhard Mondal was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 96th minute Justs Budnieks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhard Mondal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
