Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Svajūnas Damanskas made the kick off which started today's match. When Deimantas Satkus came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Geležinis Vilkas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deimantas Satkus couldn't finish the play. Aurelijus Balūzis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Juozas Zelmikas made a huge save. In the 9th match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrius Bekeris to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deimantas Satkus in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tautvydas Mickevičius saved FK Mintis Vilnius from getting behind. Juozas Zelmikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigitas Ivoška in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Vidmantas Bieliauskas came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svajūnas Damanskas in the 23rd minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geležinis Vilkas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnas Alejūnas in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Eugenijus Gureckas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Žydrūnas Danielius came free, but Juozas Zelmikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svajūnas Damanskas in the 39th minute of the match. Vidmantas Bieliauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Sigitas Sakalauskas lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 42nd minute, Sigitas Sakalauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sigitas Ivoška was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Benediktas Zaleckas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juozas Zelmikas. Geležinis Vilkas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benediktas Zaleckas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FK Mintis Vilnius's Andrius Bekeris got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupertas Lazauskas to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Marijus Goštautas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Deimantas Satkus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tautvydas Mickevičius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Geležinis Vilkas's Svajūnas Damanskas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tautvydas Mickevičius. That made the score 1-2 after 80 minutes of play. After 85 minutes, Rupertas Lazauskas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geležinis Vilkas and the FK Mintis Vilnius players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Rupertas Lazauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigitas Ivoška sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnas Alejūnas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Geležinis Vilkas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
