The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Kostas Mitseas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Lampa was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After having played for 6 minutes, Gerasimos Iakovatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Horses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerasimos Iakovatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldo Orrore lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Longobarda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Bernardo Lampa had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Babbis Markatos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerasimos Iakovatos during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Gerasimos Iakovatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18thth minute of the game Kostas Mitseas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Longobarda's Bernardo Lampa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sotiris Barberopoulos's late challenge caught a Longobarda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sotiris Barberopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Green Horses getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sotiris Barberopoulos hit a great ball. Theodosis Kassapis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Canzano went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bernardo Lampa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Mitseas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gerasimos Iakovatos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Lampa having to interfere. Kostas Mitseas's late challenge caught a Longobarda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostas Mitseas helped the player get up and apologised. Kostas Mitseas hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The Green Horses fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Green Horses's Kostas Mitseas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 41 minutes into the game, Filippo Giorgi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Longobarda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Horses the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Longobarda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Longobarda's Bernardo Lampa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Mitseas in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Kostas Mitseas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kostas Mitseas was the one to do the kick off. Fabiano Canzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Theodosis Kassapis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Konstantinos D Artagnan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Green Horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantinos D Artagnan couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Filippo Giorgi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Longobarda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Bernardo Lampa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Mitseas, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 69th minute Evaggelos Keratakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lampa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Lampa came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Green Horses's Kostas Mitseas. But to his dismay, Kostas Mitseas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When Kostas Mitseas came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Green Horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kostas Mitseas couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Longobarda's goalkeeper Bernardo Lampa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kostas Mitseas. Kostas Mitseas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Bernardo Lampa made a huge save. After 88 played minutes Longobarda got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Rosa. In the 89th minute of the match Babbis Markatos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Lampa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Longobarda's goalkeeper Bernardo Lampa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaggelos Keratakis. Gerasimos Iakovatos scored 2-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Lampa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Green Horses's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
