The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferruccio Gelsomini during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Rucci during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciro Di Nucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Descombes in the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrea Ricci got free with Yves Michalon in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Aleschi FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SILMONT were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Andrea Ricci made the kick off in the second half. Melvin Planque hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ciro Di Nucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilles Patron in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Gelsomini in the 71st minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Yves Michalon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SILMONT fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when SILMONT's Gilles Patron looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Aleschi FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edmondo Piermattei hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Laurenti in the 95th minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Yves Michalon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SILMONT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SILMONT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
