Ciro Di Nucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Grandis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Luponero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Punta to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Aleschi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Barducci to maneuver through the defense. Andrea Ricci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Grandis in the 24th minute of play forced Aleschi FC's goalkeeper Ciro Di Nucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes Aleschi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dave Collovati who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dave Collovati got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ciro Di Nucci quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Franco Laurenti struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Federico Sciarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aleschi FC. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Luponero FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aleschi FC:s goal. When Carlo Marchegiani fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luponero FC's protests and gave Carlo Marchegiani a yellow card for diving instead. Carlo Marchegiani hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Luponero FC's goalkeeper Federico Sciarra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrea Ricci. Ciro Di Nucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Fiore, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ciro Di Nucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniele Fiore's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Luponero FC's zone, Franco Laurenti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Sciarra came out of the goal and Franco Laurenti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Grandis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ciro Di Nucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Marchegiani kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cristiano Grandis made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniele Fiore sped through Aleschi FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciro Di Nucci. Federico Sciarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Ricci, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ciro Di Nucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Marchegiani in the 58th minute of play. Daniele Fiore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ciro Di Nucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Sciarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Laurenti, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Franco Laurenti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Aleschi FC booed when Luponero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Grandis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmondo Piermattei kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Cristiano Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Di Nucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Luponero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Ricci came free, but Federico Sciarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrea Ricci might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Sciarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrea Ricci ran back to his position shaking his head. Federico Sciarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Ricci in the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Andrea Ricci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aleschi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Ricci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Luponero FC's Ciro Di Nucci threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristiano Grandis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Luponero FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
