In the 3rd minute Edson Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mergildo Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Gremio Viana's Edson Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mergildo Sancho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dagoberto Segura hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes, Gusmão Azeredo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. TGN Academy's Mergildo Sancho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mergildo Sancho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gusmão Azeredo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 17 minutes into the game, Edson Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Mergildo Sancho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edson Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mergildo Sancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, TGN Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Azeredo came free, but Mergildo Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TGN Academy's Mergildo Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Nascimento in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Gusmão Azeredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TGN Academy's Mergildo Sancho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 32nd play minutes Gusmão Azeredo shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Mergildo Sancho and just under the crossbar into goal. 35 minutes into the game, Adrián Huarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TGN Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gremio Viana the free kick. Adrián Huarte kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Gusmão Azeredo made a precise shot to the right of Mergildo Sancho. TGN Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Mergildo Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusmão Azeredo in the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, TGN Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Azeredo came free, but Mergildo Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The wind increased when Gusmão Azeredo made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes TGN Academy got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Nunez. A hard shot 51 in the game by Edson Nascimento from a close distance when the talented Mergildo Sancho managed to make a qualified save. TGN Academy's players were relieved. Santxo De Paula charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santxo De Paula the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of TGN Academy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gremio Viana:s goal. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Gremio Viana. Nuno Durães stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mergildo Sancho. 0-8. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Gusmão Azeredo put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Mergildo Sancho. Mergildo Sancho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edson Nascimento in the 62nd minute. Gremio Viana's Gusmão Azeredo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Edson Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mergildo Sancho made a huge save. After 73 played minutes TGN Academy got a freekick which was hit by Colas Serena. Mergildo Sancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gusmão Azeredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Mergildo Sancho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edson Nascimento went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. The Gremio Viana fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Gremio Viana's Gusmão Azeredo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-14 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Gremio Viana's Gusmão Azeredo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mergildo Sancho. That made the score 0-15 after 87 minutes of play. Leonardo Valido hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Edson Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mergildo Sancho. TGN Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-16.
