In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Nuno Candeias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in MEXACOMX's zone, Carlos Cavaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Candeias came out of the goal and Carlos Cavaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Cavaco made a kick off. Catarino Vilela kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Carlos Cavaco struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Nuno Candeias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PLURAL. Alexandrino Junqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandrino Curado. PLURAL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, PLURAL's Alexandrino Curado got control of the ball when Dimas Camargo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute Paulo Velasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Candeias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When David Barroso fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Paulo Velasques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Candeias having to interfere. In the 91st minute Carlos Cavaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Candeias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
