FC CSKA's Stanislav Velikin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erben Medgyesi in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, FFC Merainies 03 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Youri Bemmel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aleksandar Peev hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Bozhil Krushovski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heiko Som was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The supporters of FC CSKA booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bert Bemmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislav Velikin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Annar Bemmel, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Anani Kotorov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FFC Merainies 03's Heiko Som was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Heiko Som had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anani Kotorov. Anani Kotorov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Som having to interfere. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bert Bemmel hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FFC Merainies 03's zone, Anani Kotorov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiko Som came out of the goal and Anani Kotorov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael van Zeggeren to strike the kick off in the second half. Anani Kotorov charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anani Kotorov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anani Kotorov hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Stiliyan Petrov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heiko Som having to make a save. Heiko Som made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anani Kotorov in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gergin Muchanov to maneuver through the defense. FC CSKA's Yancho Dzhongarski was substituted for Stiliyan Petrov. In the 65th match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gergin Muchanov to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th match minute, FFC Merainies 03 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bert Bemmel to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Ivan Zafirov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heiko Som skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Bert Bemmel got a free kick in the 78th minute. Heiko Som stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bozhil Krushovski's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Heiko Som made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yancho Dzhongarski in the 84th minute of play. Heiko Som showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bozhil Krushovski in the 86th minute of the match. Heiko Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anani Kotorov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heiko Som stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anani Kotorov's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. FC CSKA's Yancho Dzhongarski got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Anani Kotorov came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
