Osmar Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé de Toledo in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, União Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Lara to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Perez during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute Dedé de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedé de Toledo was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Giuseppe Perez took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Osmar Braga to make any attempt to save it.
