Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Diamantino de Lara scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Fernando Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Motta having to interfere. After some careless play in the Matungo Gaúcho defense, Nuno Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Lara. The Matungo Gaúcho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Lara should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Lauro Rosado took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Fernando Lara to make any attempt to save it. Carlos Fernando Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Guará FC booed when Matungo Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Lara made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Diamantino de Lara sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Guará FC's Emílio Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Carioca in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino de Lara got free with Fernando Lara in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamantino de Lara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Lara. That made the score 6-0 in the 38 minute of play. Fernando Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

After 53 played minutes Matungo Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Léo Guimarães. Walmyr Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Emílio Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matungo Gaúcho's Fernando Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Vasconcelos in the 59th minute of play. Nuno Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Lauro Rosado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guará FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 69 minutes into the game, Nuno Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Fernando Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 74 minutes of play, Guará FC's Washington Neto made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Mendes in the 97th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Fernando Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Guará FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
