Fiori Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Luiz Mello made a huge save. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Claudinho Fontes got a free kick in the 11th minute. A hard shot by Enio Silveira from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Luiz Mello's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fiori Antunes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luiz Mello firmly grabbed it by the left post. 16 minutes into the game, Marcinho Negri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Mello. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Negri got free with Luiz Mello in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Mello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino do Vale in the 82nd minute. Luiz Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
