In the 18th minute Wellington Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Curucamba getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Décio do Vale hit a great ball. Curucamba's João Carlos Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Recife in the 27th minute of play. When Doriva Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Chester Bennington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva Esteves couldn't finish the play. Luiz Guilherme Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Soeiro having to interfere. João Carlos Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Esteves in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Chester Bennington's Luiz Guilherme Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Carlos Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After recieving a nice pass, Curucamba's Juarês Passos tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Juarês Passos put in a rough tackle. In the 57th match minute, Curucamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Passos to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes in the game Dino Mendes got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Curucamba's Hélder Vargas got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute, Doriva Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a good free kick, Doriva Esteves got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Curucamba. A collision led to Curucamba getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Valério Lopez hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Dino Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chester Bennington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Curucamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Luiz Guilherme Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chester Bennington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Queiroz put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of João Carlos Soeiro. If Wellington Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chester Bennington's Luiz Guilherme Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Queiroz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, João Carlos Soeiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Carlos Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Guilherme Queiroz went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Curucamba defense, Luiz Guilherme Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos Soeiro. The Curucamba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Soeiro should have stopped the shot. João Carlos Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Luiz Guilherme Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Chester Bennington getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Telmo Carneiro hit a great ball. Clóvis do Valle hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Chester Bennington could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Curucamba throughout the match.
