Valdir Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pereiras FC's zone, Davi Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Dracena came out of the goal and Davi Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pereiras FC booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montesclarense E.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivo Macedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Pereiras FC's players had a chance to rest. Valdir Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe dos Santos in the 13th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Nelsinho Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tostão Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tostão Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Batista in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Batista. The supporters of Pereiras FC booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão Cardoso came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Pereiras FC's Marcelo Batista. But to his dismay, Marcelo Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 44th minute, Francisco Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Carneiro made a kick off. Pereiras FC's Valdir Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Pereiras FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Pereiras FC's Valdir Dracena got control of the ball when Davi Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tostão Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Carneiro in the 67th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Carneiro notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Montesclarense E.C.'s Tostão Cardoso. Tostão Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Pereiras FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Pereiras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goalkeeper Valdir Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davi Campidelis. Pedrão Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pereiras FC's zone, Davi Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Dracena came out of the goal and Davi Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pereiras FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Montesclarense E.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
