Compugraf's Chico Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Compugraf from getting a goal against them. In the 8th match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário França to maneuver through the defense. Edgar da Costa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Chico Fernandez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgar da Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Chico Fernandez made a huge save. The corner led to Real Cruzeiro FC's Júlio Arruda getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a little luck, Compugraf's Chico Fernandez got control of the ball when Júlio Arruda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Real Cruzeiro FC's Júlio Arruda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Silas Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrézinho Mattos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silas Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 played minutes Real Cruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Christiano de Barros. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Tomé Soeiro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Silas Prata scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrézinho Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 40 minutes, Silas Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Compugraf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silas Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Romário França ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrézinho Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Gustavo Neto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Edgar da Costa could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Chico Fernandez however easily saved by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silas Prata made a kick off. Caetano Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Andrézinho Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Prata in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrézinho Mattos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Andrézinho Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Prata in the 61st minute. Chico Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Compugraf getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Caetano Proença hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Compugraf's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar da Costa came free, but Chico Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Genílson Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Compugraf and the Real Cruzeiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Edgar da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Chico Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Carneiro in the 79th minute of the match. Real Cruzeiro FC's Andrézinho Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Real Cruzeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Alexsandro Jacinto hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Edgar da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Chico Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Mattos came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Compugraf's Romário França. But to his dismay, Romário França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. If Silas Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Real Cruzeiro FC's Edgar da Costa in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Compugraf's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Compugraf walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
