In the 57th minute of the match Agostinho Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Betão Paraíba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Douglas Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiano Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Marquinhos Falcão was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, one of Sprite Star Football:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sprite Star Football. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Linares during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Linares hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Alfredo Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betão Paraíba. Sprite Star Football's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The Sprite Star Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Anselmo Paraíba took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão Paraíba. Betão Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Bastioes EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
