But to his dismay, Gildo Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The wind increased when Dadá Perez made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Jorge Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erasmo Azevedo. Opera OMNES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The supporters of Opera OMNES booed when Grêmio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Gugu Linhares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio's Rui Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Grêmio booed when Opera OMNES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Opera OMNES's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Gildo Fantini scored to the left of an out of position Erasmo Azevedo, making the score, 0-9. Erasmo Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisão Simões in the 84th minute. Rui Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Çelik Seri went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-10 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisão Simões kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erasmo Azevedo. That made the score 1-11 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Opera OMNES's goalkeeper Erasmo Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Seco. Erasmo Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Neto in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Opera OMNES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Sabóia to maneuver through the defense.
