In the 8th match minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tostão Ferreira hit a great ball. Pedrão Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jânio Palmeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. Delfim do Vale struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. César Rosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taura Cupincha-U18. After some careless play in the Taura Cupincha-U18 defense, Breno Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jânio Palmeira. The Taura Cupincha-U18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio Palmeira should have stopped the shot. César Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Aloísio Chaves scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jânio Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the game, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Breno Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jânio Palmeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 46 played minutes Taura Cupincha-U18 got a freekick which was hit by Válter Tróia. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delfim do Vale was the one to do the kick off. Taura Cupincha-U18's Yuri Djorkaeff got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Yuri Djorkaeff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Breno Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jânio Palmeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s zone, Delfim do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Rosa came out of the goal and Delfim do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustão Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Breno Pernambucano hit a great ball. Delfim do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Rosa having to interfere. César Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustão Lima went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Otávio Rossi notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s César Rosa. César Rosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s César Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim do Vale in the 89th minute of play. Taura Cupincha-U18's Jânio Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Taura Cupincha-U18 from getting a goal against them. Delfim do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Faustão Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
