An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney da Cunha in the 4th minute of play forced Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Humberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Lopes in the 9th minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Rubinho Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 11th minute, but Humberto Senna got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Leon Sport Club hanging dry this time. Carlos Eduardo Peres succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Rubinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Gerber in the 27th minute of the match. Leon Sport Club's Marcelo da Cunha pulled a muscle in his leg after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Eduardo Peres during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Peres. When Clemente Arce came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Leon Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Arce couldn't finish the play. Rubinho Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Leões do Sul 53's Rubinho Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Lopes in the 35th minute of play. Sydney da Cunha struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Humberto Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leões do Sul 53. Humberto Senna was a little too slow when Carlos Eduardo Peres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. Clemente da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Eduardo Peres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Humberto Senna came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Eduardo Peres slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ronaldinho Lopes made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Peres in the 57th minute of play forced Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Humberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldinho Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Emerson Eger got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Cauan Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Leões do Sul 53 were awarded a corner. Telmo Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. 66 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho Couto. Leões do Sul 53's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldinho Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After 69 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Dantas. Leon Sport Club's Ronaldinho Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney da Cunha in the 72nd minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Sydney da Cunha in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 75 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Peres came free, but Humberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ronaldinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Humberto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Peres to maneuver through the defense. Leões do Sul 53 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Leon Sport Club for a fine match.
