A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Edmílson Schmidt hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Arósio in the 16th minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Noel Velloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Timofeev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Reis in the 21st minute of play. Noel Velloso took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oleg Timofeev. Oleg Timofeev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 28th minute of the match, Leandro Brito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Genílson Gaspar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Reis in the 35th minute of play. Dráusio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match Edmílson Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genílson Gaspar skillfully saved the ball. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Velloso in the 39th minute of play. Genílson Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Marinho during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Américo Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Oleg Timofeev made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Américo Marinho took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Oleg Timofeev to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Noel Velloso hit a great ball. Noel Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Oleg Timofeev made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Sipo EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Montevideo.
