Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Estrela Solitária's Toninho das Neves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Augusto Penha came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the AVAÍ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Penha couldn't finish the play. After 3 minutes, Dida Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrela Solitária and the AVAÍ F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Dida Sousa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Igor Bohn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toninho das Neves in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Igor Bohn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho das Neves. In the 11th minute Augusto Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Cejas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Penha made a great header on AVAÍ F.C.'s corner, it was just that Estrela Solitária's Agustin Cejas managed to reach the ball for a save. Tarcisio Quintal struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Igor Bohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrela Solitária. Agustin Cejas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Bohn made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Toninho das Neves sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Campidelis to maneuver through the defense.

AVAÍ F.C.'s Jorge Pinho was substituted for Augusto Penha. Igor Bohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Almeida in the 70th minute of play. AVAÍ F.C.'s Anderson Mattos was substituted for Gabriel Poveda. AVAÍ F.C.'s Joaquim Ceresso was substituted for Mateus Alves. Estrela Solitária's Hernán Crespo was substituted for Dida Sousa. After 74 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Arce. Igor Bohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AVAÍ F.C.'s Igor Bohn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Maravilha in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Maravilha in the 89th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Igor Bohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Bohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Maravilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Bohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Maravilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Maravilha in the 96th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Igor Bohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
