Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Bengt Bouchard made the kick off and thus started the match. Matheus Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Zé Carlos Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Soeiro in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pirani in the 15th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alfredo Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredinho Maciel got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Dede Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dede Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Júlio Antunes got a free kick in the 27th minute. Vascogoianiense FC's Robert Steffens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. Zé Carlos Soeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Paraibano having to make a save. Alfredo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Paraíba in the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's Angelo Maria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Pirani scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Paraibano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Vascogoianiense FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Pirani's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. With a little luck, FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano got control of the ball when Angelo Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th match minute Dede Barros ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Alfredo Paraibano. 0-2. The audience was convinced that João Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Paraibano was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When João Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pirani couldn't finish the play. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Armando Berger replaced Sandrinho Vidal. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Mateus Vergílio replaced Germano Luz. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateus Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Robert Steffens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when João Pirani sent off a good shot on target. After 80 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Antunes. 81 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's Dede Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Carlos Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Alfredo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Vascogoianiense FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vascogoianiense FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
