Rafael Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Barros in the 3rd minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Barros came free, but Rafael Gilesindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Gilesindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Edgard Barros sped through Locura Académica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Gilesindo. Edgard Barros struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Rafael Gilesindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Atlanta. In the 27th minute, Severino Huly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Iban to maneuver through the defense. In the 34thth minute of the game Edgard Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Rafael Gilesindo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Paio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Locura Académica's zone, Edgard Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Gilesindo came out of the goal and Edgard Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Ostargi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Germano having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Erramu during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Locura Académica booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Barros in the 77th minute of the match. Remigio Erramu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafael Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Barros in the 82nd minute of play. The Locura Académica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atlético Atlanta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
