The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Hori got free with Flavio Blai in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Etxepare in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Gaston Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Maximo Diegotxe got a free kick in the 12th minute. Aldo Carlomagno didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when San Martin de Tucuman's Gaston Etxepare shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 21st play minutes Gaston Etxepare shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Aldo Carlomagno and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Etxepare in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Carlomagno saved C. A. Gral. Lamadrid from getting behind. Aldo Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Lalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Carlomagno having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Vincent to maneuver through the defense. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Aldo Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Etxepare in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Etxepare in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Carlomagno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goalkeeper Aldo Carlomagno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Benedicto Lalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Martin de Tucuman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, C. A. Gral. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amadeo Vincent the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of San Martin de Tucuman protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amadeo Vincent had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Lalla was the one to do the kick off. Maximo Diegotxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gaston Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Leandro Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Lluques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Carlomagno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes in the game, Benedicto Lalla fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aldo Carlomagno having to interfere. San Martin de Tucuman's Benedicto Lalla got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Placido Balasi got a free kick in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Etxepare came free, but Aldo Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Leandro Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Lluques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Hori took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Blai. Flavio Blai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. If Benedicto Lalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gaston Etxepare managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Etxepare was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 94th minute, Leandro Lluques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over San Martin de Tucuman could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C. A. Gral. Lamadrid throughout the match.
