When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Armando Beltza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Cristofor. Gavino Fagondos short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Santiago Gau to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rigoberto Santxol hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Sportivo Ben Hur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Ralondo to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Lizbeth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Santiago Gau made a huge save. Victor Gelmiro's late challenge caught a Sportivo Ben Hur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Gelmiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Victor Gelmiro got a free kick in the 25th minute. Mainumby's Santiago Gau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Mainumby from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Fagondo came free, but Santiago Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Gavino Fagondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 33 in the game by Gavino Fagondo from a close distance when the talented Santiago Gau managed to make a qualified save. Mainumby's players were relieved. Claudio Mark hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Abelardo Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Beltza in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Gavino Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Mainumby's Isaac Urtungo was substituted for Armando Beltza. Mainumby made a substitution. Eusebio Fiz replaced Candido Suero. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavino Fagondo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Jimeno Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Ben Hur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimeno Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Alejandro Igon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Luis Semeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mainumby defense, Gavino Fagondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Gau. The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Gau should have stopped the shot. Gerardo Oinatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sportivo Ben Hur's Abelardo Cristofor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Ben Hur from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute, Celestino Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Mainumby's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mainumby may have spent more time on the ball, but Sportivo Ben Hur were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
