The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeledon Cloyo got free with Angelo Quico in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Angelo Beturian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celtic FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Libertad FC the free kick. After 22 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Beturian. Manuel Benitez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Hanni went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 30th match minute, Libertad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Otsoko to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Pitin in the 63rd minute of play forced Libertad FC's goalkeeper Manuel Benitez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Jon. When Maximiliano Cloyo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Maximiliano Cloyo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Lucas Hanni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Benitez. The goal made the score 0-7. Celtic FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
