Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Hanot in the 81st minute of play forced Quilmes's goalkeeper Godofredo Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quilmes's Godofredo Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ke Xun in the 88th minute of play. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
