Martin Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Fagondo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Berriotxoa in the 32nd minute of play forced Singlar Club FC's goalkeeper Edgard Felipillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eric Venero came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Singlar Club FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Venero couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Mark in the 42nd minute of play forced Singlar Club FC's goalkeeper Edgard Felipillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Singlar Club FC's Edgard Felipillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Mark in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Singlar Club FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Feliciano Baldovino hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Singlar Club FC's Feliciano Baldovino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Feliciano Baldovino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Singlar Club FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Feliciano Baldovino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After having played for 46 minutes, Everardo Johans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Johans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafin Mark made a kick off. A hard shot by Everardo Johans from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Edgard Felipillo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Everardo Johans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Singlar Club FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Venero didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Atlético Nacional's Edgard Felipillo threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfredo Berriotxoa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Serafin Mark who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Edgard Felipillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Singlar Club FC's zone, Cleto Efren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Felipillo came out of the goal and Cleto Efren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd match minute, Singlar Club FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Felipillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Berriotxoa in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Singlar Club FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Kimetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Felipillo came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Nacional's Cleto Efren. But to his dismay, Cleto Efren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 89th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Johans to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Eric Venero notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Martin Rioja. Martin Rioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
