In the 36th minute Jacobo Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Sagrario made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcelino Ederono. 44 minutes into the game, Julian Maiorga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anjullan AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaplan the free kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Kaplan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Froila fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 77 minutes into the game, Felipe Ermano threw the ball into play from the sideline. Anjullan AFC's Aaron Maria quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Teodoro Gaufred made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Amancio Benat sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Millrick made a great header on Anjullan AFC's corner, it was just that Kaplan's Teodoro Gaufred managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaplan's goalkeeper Teodoro Gaufred, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Kaplan lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
