Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Romulo Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. Romulo Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Hilario Laurgain made a huge save. Bernabe George didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingo Mateus went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 7 played minutes Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Paz. Esteban Lucian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hilario Laurgain came out and tried to block the shot, but Esteban Lucian slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 22nd minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Bernabe George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Exequiel Mahrez made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Alberto Sarmiento. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento de Resistencia's zone, Arjen Robben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe George came out of the goal and Arjen Robben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cugat in the 31st minute of play. After 36 played minutes Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Mateus. After 38 minutes, Ermegildo Chorache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ and the Sarmiento de Resistencia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Chorache to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the game Ermegildo Chorache made a throw-in which Arjen Robben played forward. Romulo Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Hilario Laurgain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento de Resistencia. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Mateus made a kick off. In the 64th minute, Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ's Albeiro Usuriaga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernabe George. Bernabe George yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 66 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Cayo. In the 71st match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Marco Cugat made a precise shot to the right of Bernabe George. Sarmiento de Resistencia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. 79 minutes into the match, Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Lucian came free, but Hilario Laurgain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
