An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert-Jan Weedsgaard in the 3rd minute of play forced Caricancha's goalkeeper Elias Milio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Milio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Ederono in the 7th minute of play. Isidro Lon's late challenge caught a Caricancha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Lon helped the player get up and apologised. Aaron Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Nico Otamendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert-Jan Weedsgaard succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The supporters of Caricancha booed when The Waldos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Gergori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Ledesma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Sergio Romero made a huge save. Fulgencio Ederono hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Caricancha's Clinton Mata got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Elias Milio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert-Jan Weedsgaard in the 24th minute of play. Robert-Jan Weedsgaard kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Caricancha defense, Saturnino Gergori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Milio. The Caricancha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Milio should have stopped the shot. If Bernardino Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Ledesma came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sergio Romero could save by the left post. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Precioso in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Ederono was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Waldos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caricancha the free kick. Elias Milio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Gergori, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Caricancha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Waldos were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fermin Precioso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Blas-Armando Giunta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clinton Mata in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, The Waldos's Saturnino Llin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Milio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Caricancha's Aristides Loren got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Clinton Mata hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Waldos's goalkeeper Sergio Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Clinton Mata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sergio Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Waldos's Arturo Machado was substituted for Claudio Navarro. Braulio Ledesma kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Robert-Jan Weedsgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Gergori took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elias Milio. Elias Milio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 86th minute Clinton Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caricancha's Elias Milio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Llin in the 88th minute of play. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Ledesma in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Fermin Precioso made a precise shot to the right of Sergio Romero. The Waldos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4.
