An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Ganix in the 5th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Ciro Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achtung Babies's Vladimiro Ceandro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Achtung Babies from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Ganix in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Gombal saved Deportivo Balvanera from getting behind. Achtung Babies were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Deportivo Balvanera's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Sal took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Robert Leckie got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ciro Gombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ciro Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Leckie in the 17th minute of play. Vladimiro Ceandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Checa in the 19th minute of the match. When Candido Jakes fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Balvanera's protests and gave Candido Jakes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Candido Jakes got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ciro Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Ganix in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Bram Van Der Burg came free, but Ciro Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Cristobal Hulberto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Ceandro skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Achtung Babies's Vladimiro Ceandro got control of the ball when Florentino Petrigai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciro Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bram Van Der Burg in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Hugo Ganix cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ciro Gombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Deportivo Balvanera's Jimeno Oxel was substituted for Florentino Petrigai. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Ganix made a kick off. Hugo Ganix struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ciro Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Achtung Babies. Hugo Ganix was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 65th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Checa to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Ganix received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciro Gombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Ganix slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 73rd minute. Jimeno Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Achtung Babies's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Checa came free, but Vladimiro Ceandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Gombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Ganix, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Vladimiro Ceandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Checa in the 88th minute of play. Vladimiro Ceandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Checa in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Achtung Babies's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristobal Hulberto was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Balvanera's players had a chance to rest. Cristobal Hulberto made a great header on Deportivo Balvanera's corner, it was just that Achtung Babies's Vladimiro Ceandro managed to reach the ball for a save. Hugo Ganix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Ciro Gombal made a huge save. When the match was over Achtung Babies could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Balvanera throughout the match.
