Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Celta de Virgos's Diego Erasto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Filiberto Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the game, Tadeo Sanchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celta de Virgos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. Tadeo Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Diego Erasto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Fresco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Shantala showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Erasto in the 14th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Ubaldo Tab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Erasto took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Tab. Ubaldo Tab dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Racing Club were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Celta de Virgos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gonzalo Txerran took the corner. Racing Club's Gonzalo Txerran was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jeremias Fresco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Turi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tadeo Sanchez made a great header on Celta de Virgos's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Ubaldo Tab managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Abel Peru hit a great ball. Ubaldo Tab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Erasto in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Carlos Shantala made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Racing Club's Carlos Shantala nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Fresco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ubaldo Tab was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Diego Erasto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Erasto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Celta de Virgos's Besart Elano was substituted for Andy Mentis. Racing Club made a substitution. Bilyan Chochkov replaced Gonzalo Txerran. Celta de Virgos's Aureliano Palben was substituted for Rogelio Araoz. In the 65th match minute, Celta de Virgos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. Racing Club made a substitution. Emiliano Etxepare replaced Carlos Shantala. Tadeo Sanchez hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Racing Club's Ubaldo Tab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Dominix in the 72nd minute of play. Celta de Virgos were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Racing Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tadeo Sanchez took the corner. In the 75th minute, Aureliano Palben fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 77 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Turi. Celta de Virgos's Ernesto Iraitz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Celta de Virgos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
