The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capo de Provincia. After a defensive mix-up in Capo de Provincia's zone, Marcelo Abastas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baudelio Santa Ana came out of the goal and Marcelo Abastas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Marcelo Abastas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baudelio Santa Ana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sendoa Aballe in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Jeronimo Avaria made the kick off in the second half. If Alexis Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txilar Abeita in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baudelio Santa Ana, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 74 minutes, Pello Abechuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Mandarina Mecánica and the Capo de Provincia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Capo de Provincia booed when La Mandarina Mecánica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pello Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Mandarina Mecánica's Perico Abellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 84th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Byers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 95th minute of play forced La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Perico Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over La Mandarina Mecánica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Capo de Provincia throughout the match.
