After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Mauro Boucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Boucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Requena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terrence Arthur in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Requena saved Ornopata from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Stover in the 24th minute of play forced Ornopata's goalkeeper Roberto Requena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ornopata's William Enebro got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cyrus Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyrus Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 40 minutes of play, Ornopata's Zuriko Bernaldo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scottie Correa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the match, Calle Inda notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Scottie Correa. Scottie Correa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ornopata's Rogerio Logares got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Salto made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Yépez Abrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Scottie Correa. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yépez Abrea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ornopata! Cyrus Velasco walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The supporters of Ornopata booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junior Stover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terrence Arthur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Mario Dostie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roberto Requena was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Mauro Boucher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mauro Boucher really showed his touch with that goal: 3-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Qikiqtarjuaq FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
