Viviano Basurto's late challenge caught a Algarrobo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viviano Basurto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viviano Basurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Lion Messi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Pando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Checa Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Checa Cerezo couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Lion Messi sped through Liga de Quito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomas Pando. Tomas Pando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Eichmann in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Viviano Basurto took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous to make any attempt to save it. When Checa Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Checa Cerezo couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute of the match Ataulfo Soberon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Eichmann in the 37th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Algarrobo's corner Adolf Eichmann fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tomas Pando quite easily take care of the ball. Kazuo Koriotto took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Pando. Tomas Pando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viviano Basurto's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. If Checa Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Eichmann in the 46th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Liga de Quito's Valdo Aroztegui. But to his dismay, Valdo Aroztegui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 59 minutes into the game, Checa Cerezo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liga de Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Algarrobo the free kick. Luis Andres kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Adolf Eichmann came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Algarrobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolf Eichmann couldn't finish the play. Algarrobo's Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viviano Basurto in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Alfonso Larrinzar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lion Messi. Checa Cerezo got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 69th match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Checa Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Vilson Valls hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naelio Moncada kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Tomas Pando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolf Eichmann in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Eichmann in the 92nd minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lion Messi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Tomas Pando made a huge save. Juan Jesus Orrego kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Cruz Guia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous. Algarrobo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Liga de Quito fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Algarrobo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
