The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's goalkeeper Bibiano Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Costa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Costa got free with Bibiano Barbosa in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Rosa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Marcus Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Bibiano Barbosa made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Gilesindo Tarapiella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CON-E-CO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marcelo Rius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilesindo Tarapiella in the 23rd minute of the match. Bibiano Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Mazule in the 27th minute of play. Damián Blue struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bibiano Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Town SC. 31 minutes into the match, Damián Blue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bibiano Barbosa. CON-E-CO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damián Blue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Servando Ariste scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Rius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, West Town SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilesindo Tarapiella came free, but Marcelo Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to West Town SC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Damián Blue hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damián Blue was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Marcus Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bibiano Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bibiano Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Rius was a little too slow when Gilesindo Tarapiella got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 65th minute, Marcus Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Town SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The audience was convinced that Damián Blue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bibiano Barbosa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, West Town SC's Mariano Lumbreras got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Gilesindo Tarapiella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Blue in the 78th minute of play forced CON-E-CO's goalkeeper Bibiano Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Damián Blue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bibiano Barbosa was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. The supporters of CON-E-CO booed when West Town SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radamel Blue didn't get a good kick on the ball.
